OSF Riding ProgramWhether you are a timid beginner or an experienced rider, Old Stonehouse Farm has a place for you. We offer private riding lessons 7 days a week on our seasoned school horses or your own horse. We take every rider seriously and treat them as an individual. We strive to help each student become a motivated, thinking equestrian that has the skill and confidence to ride in a variety of settings. We approach both horse and rider with an objective attitude and work with them in an atmosphere designed to provide a positive environment for development and learning. All riders are required to take an active role in the care of their mount before and after their lesson. Developing a relationship on the ground with your horse is an essential part of riding. Please feel free to contact us for additional information and current openings. All new riders are required to wear hard soled shoes with a heel and long pants. Shirt tails are to be tucked in and long hair tied back. Pants must come down to the shoe(capris/shorts are not allowed). Riders that continue to ride after the first 6 week semester are encouraged to purchase and wear to each lesson proper jodphurs, paddock boots (with or without half/chaps), riding gloves and an ASTM/SEI approved riding helmet. We can assist you with your purchase. ALL RIDERS UNDER THE AGE OF 18 ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR AN ASTM/SEI APPROVED HELMET. All Riders must complete and sign a RELEASE prior to riding!
